We're happy to be attending another Novell BrainShare. This year we are training, presenting product roadmaps, demonstrating our products, and participating in product sessions. Today we held a training session for the Novell SEs and Novell partners on Novell Storage Manager and Novell File Reporter. The focus of the exercises was the new features in each product. Following the training, we worked with the Novell SEs at IT Central, demonstrating Novell Storage Manager, Novell File Reporter, and Novell Kanaka for Mac, which has a version update scheduled for release this week. Tomorrow morning is the first keynote address and David Condrey will be participating with Novell and Attachmate President and General Manager, Kathleen Owens in a demonstration of some of our products.

New corporate changes require now that I support (at least temporarily) an influx of PowerBooks to our old creaky Netware 6 network. The only Mac client I had laying around here was from Prosoft (version 5.12) which only supports IPX. Looks like Prosoft had a client once upon a time (from 2008) that was good for early OS/X and IP, but it is no longer listed on their site as a product. But I can pull a trial version off Softpedia ($149 after trial version - I assume Prosoft would still take money for it). Anyone have any knowledge of this?

Or, is there a better way to connect Apple products to Netware? I can mount it with cifs, but that would give read access to the files but not read/write. It has been a loooong time since I integrated Apple with anything else. Figures I would get stuck with one of the more difficult infrastructures to do so. Thanks for any tips!
